Frank Herron, LSU Defensive Lineman Arrested for Bicycle Theft

LSU defensive lineman Frank Herron was arrested Monday for bicycle theft, LSU campus police said Monday.
Herron, 19, a redshirt freshman from Memphis, Tenn., was issued a misdemeanor summons and released as the investigation continues, LSU police Capt. Cory Lalonde told NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune.

The bicycle was reported stolen Wednesday around noon from a bike rack near the Huey P. Long Fieldhouse, Lalonde said. The victim notified police Monday that he saw someone riding what he thought was the stolen bike near the Cox Center for Academics. Officers did not believe the person riding the bicycle knew it was stolen and on further investigation, identified Herron as a possible suspect. Herron admitted to the theft during interrogation by officers and was arrested about 1:30 p.m.. Theft of property valued below $500 is considered a misdemeanor and above $500 a felony, Lalonde said.
LSU coach Les Miles said Herron will be disciplined internally.
"Certainly he's going to be run into a much leaner position," Miles told The Shreveport Times prior to an LSU function in Bossier City Monday night. "He's going to do community service. He's going to sustain whatever the school would suggest. But the truth of the matter is that we are expecting to wear him out internally.
"I can tell you he's a wonderful kid," Miles said. "I can't imagine he's do anything like that again. Prank is more the intent and naive is the reason."
