Yaaaay festival goers! It's a beautiful sunny weekend in New Orleans, so you know the sundresses and shorts are going be out. Make sure you bring your shades. The hottest event this season the French Quarter festival is in full swing and it looks like Saturday and Sunday both have exciting performances lined up.

Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival

Ponchatoula invites you to its annual tradition of great food, marching bands, sack races, strawberry-themed doubloons, live music and an assortment of strawberry dishes. The festival promises a family-friendly outdoor berry-good time so bring the kids along and enjoy.

Outkast20: Outkast Tribute

Howling Wolf celebrates the 20th anniversary of the SouthernplayalisticATLiensfromStankonia rappers Outkast.  This dope event features 3 DJs on the mix (DJs Quest w/ E.F. Cuttin + DJ SoulOne [HTX] + DJ RQ), singers, spoken word artists, live band, and.....shhhh someone rumored a brass band coming thru. It's definitely the place to be tonight.

While the French Quarter Fest is clogging the streets downtown, the Single Ladies are set to prance on the pavement Uptown on Sunday for a second line.

Super Sunday 2014 West Fest & Afterparty

Get ready 'best'bank cos the brassbands will be blaring, the handkerchiefs and feathered fans will be waving and folks will be buckjumping. Why?  The Mardi Gras Indians will stepping out on Super Sunday at the West fest. It certainly will be a spectacular experience. After that, the Suite will be hosting an afterparty.    Date: Sunday April 13, 2014 Time: 1:00 to 5:00pm (West fest), All New Suite doors open at 10pm
