Renowned songstress and Destiny Child member Michelle Williams has earned the coveted role as Mary Magdalene in the new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
The musical is about the last days of Jesus Christ and Michelle will be singing "Everything's Alright" and "I Don't Know How to Love Him". The performance will also feature Brandon Boyd of rock band Incubus as Judas Iscariot, NSYNC's JC Chasez as Pontius Pilate, John Lydon of the Sex Pistols was King Herod and Ben Forster as Jesus.
The performance will kick off its North America tour in New Orleans at the UNO Lakefront Arena on June 9th a day after Pentecost.
