It takes place in the streets, sometimes, by a group of callow High school kids setting the night to music. It is the same century-old spontaneous pulse which throbs on the softening city air with sweet rhapsody.
They chant and yodel in absolute choruses clapping their hands while playing to the crowd.The cadence is acoustically modulated to put one's youthful tone in the muscle and flatter the dancing body. It's brass band music.
Even from afar, the rapturous accent makes it easy to imagine the amusement. Going nearer, the music barrels around you and you’re sucked into the singing ... the dancing ... and the perspiration.
