"I’m in the music industry and y’all got to see how it was really f–ked up for me, right? And New York has really held me down. This has been my home. The stations, everybody. The thing is, we don’t get a lot of people in the music industry. So, what I need y’all to do is make sure and go get August’s album. A lot of the n—as that y’all wanna f–k, they in my phone and you don’t wanna f–k them if you knew how lame they was. Okay? This one right here, he is the future. He is what it is. Necole Bitchie's Intimate Conversation With August Alsina

Celebrity blogger Necole Bitchie shares a recollection of her interview with August Alsina.

Who is August Alsina?
Two weeks ago, if you had asked me about August, I wouldn’t have been able to tell you anything.  All I knew was that he was a tatted up R&B singer, who had a #1 record “I Luv This,” which featured Trinidad James on the original version and Chris Brown and Trey Songz on the remix.  I also knew that he had at some point formed a brotherhood with Trey Songz, but that friendship had dissolved over time.
Have I made personal judgments about August at some point? Possibly…
Last Wednesday, before a media dinner to celebrate August’s new album Testimony, I dropped by the W Hotel in Hollywood to meet and get to know the 21-year-old New Orleans native.
