The musical is about the last days of Jesus Christ and Michelle Williams will be singing "Everything's Alright" and "I Don't Know How to Love Him". The performance will also feature Brandon Boyd of rock band Incubus as Judas Iscariot, NSYNC's JC Chasez as Pontius Pilate, John Lydon of the Sex Pistols was King Herod and Ben Forster as Jesus. Master P Responds To Wendy Williams, Clears the Air with Reality Show

Master P and his estranged; wife Sonya Miller are currently going through a nasty divorce that has taken several turns with Sonya claiming to be broke, Master P claiming that Sonya’s on drugs, Sonya firing back at Master P saying that he abducted their children, and then finally Master P having the kids testify against the abduction allegations, and so on.....really messy.

Apparently, the rapper recently hinted his plans for a new reality show which possibly would reveal his marital troubles. However, talkshow host Wendy Williams blasted P on her show for making such a move.

First of all, I thought Wendy Williams was my friend. I understand that her job is to entertain gossip but how could she keep picking up TMZ gossip as if it was real news when she should have contacted me directly if she was really concerned about my family, or me like she claims. If anyone understands being in the media and  having to deal with celebrity personal family gossip and betrayal, she should know because of her own situation. If she wants to know the truth, as my friend, she should call me directly to get the facts and the truth rather than joining the media circus and talking trash.

On Thursday May 22nd at 10:00am, Dallas based healthcare real estate company; Cobalt Medical Development will hold the groundbreaking for a 60-bed inpatient physical rehabilitation facility in the Medical district, Downtown New Orleans. An 18year old woman who shares the same name as New Orleans native and star Broncos quarterback; Peyton Manning was arrested in Nashville, Tennessee for felony drug charges on Monday May 19, 2014. According to CBS,

Police pulled Manning over for having her high beams on, according to an arrest warrant obtained by the paper.The warrant states that the arresting officer smelled marijuana in the vehicle, and a subsequent search by police found two mason jars of pot along with baggies of cocaine dissolving in a cup of Coca-Cola.
Police also found text messages on Manning's phone that referenced cocaine use, and money discovered in the suspect's purse was consistent with bills used in a drug deal,

Brees, NFLPA Speak Against Workers’ Compensation Bill

The NFL Players Association and the New Orleans Saints have been on a dispute over a bill  
that would affect player's injury benefits. In a statement released this week, Saints Quarterback Drew Brees opposes the Louisiana legislature that substantially reduces compensation benefits for professional players injured in OTA's, mini-camps, training camp or even post-season. The bill was proposed by Rep. Chris Broadwater

“The job of legislators in Louisiana is to protect injured workers and fight for their workers comp benefits, not find ways to support bills like this one which reduce the workers comp benefits we receive when we get hurt,” Brees said in a statement released by the NFLPA.

“There is no financial benefit to the state with this bill, only team management. I am disappointed that [bill sponsors] Representative [Chris] Broadwater and [Cameron] Henry would take such a stance against our players and other Louisiana workers. Whether we get hurt during the season or in the preseason, it is all the same. It is in preparation to help us win a championship for our community.”

Hale Woodruff Exhibition at NOMA

On Friday May 16, the New Orleans Museum of Art will have an exhibition Rising Up: Hale Woodruff's Murals at Talladega College which showcases 35 collection of murals, paintings and prints by the Harlem Renaissance artist Hale Woodruff. Woodruff's work has been on display continuously at Talladega, one of the first historically black colleges. The large-scale murals depict the 1839 African slave revolt on the Spanish ship La Amistad and other significant events in African-American history. The exhibition will be on view at NOMA till September 14, 2014.

Uh oh! Judge Rules That $357,000 BP Oil Settlement Be Paid Back

Gotta be shittin me. Even an unemployed man filed for BP oil settlement and received $357,000? 
This is sad because there were so many people/businesses who faced incredible challenges as a result of the oil spill that got denied.


NEW ORLEANS — A federal judge ruled Tuesday that a $357,000 payment in a damage claim from the 2010 BP oil spill must be repaid because the claim was fraudulent.
The claim had been made by Casey Thonn for seafood losses. An investigation by former FBI director Louis Freeh determined it was made based on phony tax returns.
Freeh had recommended that the money be paid back and U.S. District Judge Carl Barbier agreed in an order issued Tuesday. The order outlined the evidence against Thonn, including the unfiled phony tax returns and forms that were filed with the Internal Revenue Service indicating Thonn had been unemployed when the spill occurred.
