Plane Crashes into McDonalds in Northeast Louisiana

Imagine waiting on the drive-thru lane at McDonalds and as you look out the window, you observe a plane nosedive into the parking lot slamming on the asphalt. That's scary!

A McDonald’s plane crash in the parking lot of a Louisiana fast food restaurant has left a pilot with a broken leg and one car totaled this week, but fortunately no other serious injuries or deaths. McDonald’s customers were likely only turning into the drive-thru to get their morning coffee when the shocking site of a low-flying plane clipping a tree and taking a nosedive far from the runway scared many in the local New Orleans area. The CS Monitor provides what details have been brought to the public light this Wednesday, June 4, and what might have led to the sudden and unusual accident.
Witnesses and airport officials alike are very grateful that the McDonald’s plane crash didn’t leave any more damage in its wake, because it “could have been a lot worse,” said one flight official. A small plane was returning to the runway at Monroe Regional Airport this week when it abruptly nosedived and slammed into the parking lot of a Louisiana McDonald’s restaurant. Bystanders said that the crash site was only several yards from the fast food chain’s drive-thru.
The only major damage caused by the frightening crash was to the low-flying Beechcraft Bonanza plane, a single car out in the parking lot, and to the pilot himself.
